Divorce Coaching

As defined by the American Bar Association, Divorce Coaching is a "flexible, goal-oriented process designed to support, motivate, and guide people going through divorce to help them make the best possible decisions for their future, based on their particular interests, needs, and concerns.

Divorce coaches have different professional backgrounds and are selected based on the specific needs of the clients. For example, some divorce coaches are financial planners, mental health professionals, lawyers, or mediators who have experience dealing with divorcing clients."

As a personal divorce coach, I will work with one party to the divorce, not both, because I am an additional advocate for my client and I am not a neutral.

I focus on my client: helping them gain knowledge which leads to increased confidence which leads to their best decisions.

Why Do You Need a Divorce Coach?

If you are feeling some of the following, you may want to consider hiring me as your divorce coach to help you navigate the process:

1. Are you feeling overwhelmed?

2. Are you having trouble making decisions?

3. Are you angry with your spouse and want to find ways to manage these emotions?

4. Are you finding it difficult to envision the possibilities after divorce?

5. Does the legal system scare you or intimidate you?

6. Do you often wish you had someone to brainstorm with for solutions and to evaluate your own ideas?

7. Do you think you might need other professionals (lawyer, financial advisor, therapist, accountant) but you don't know where to turn?

8. Do you wonder if you spend too much time venting to your friends or even your lawyer - but you need to release your frustration at times?

9. Do you think there must be a more creative co-parenting solution than what has been proposed so far?

10. Do you feel run down by the process and just want to avoid it?

11. Do you feel like you aren't being heard?

12. Are you wanting to find better ways to communicate with your ex or even with other professionals in your life?

13. Do you want a safe place to discuss your emotions about the changes happening in your life?

Going through a divorce can be stressful and emotional. Every divorce is unique because every family is unique.  I am  trained to listen and help you prioritize your actions and move forward.

As your divorce coach, I will remind you that you aren't alone.

I am  familiar with the legal system and although as a divorce coach, I am not there to give legal advice,  I can help you define your own needs and questions, while helping remove fears of the unknown. I will help you navigate your way through this change with confidence.
